Intermediate post-trauma support
This intervention is appropriate from a couple of days to one month following the incident, to help process the impact of the event and potentially prevent the development of post-traumatic stress symptoms.
Critical incident stress management
CISM involves a facilitated group session to help the affected team process the impact of the event, help build resilience and to resume normal functioning. It is typically conducted within a week of the incident.
